  YOUR ASA EXPERIENCE
You will receive individualized support from ASA’s advisors and staff throughout your program application process, while you are abroad, and when you return.

Before you depart we will work with you and the staff at your home institution to help you prepare for your time abroad. We are happy to speak with you to discuss ways you can maximize your experience in your host country. You will also receive a detailed pre-departure orientation guide which will help you know what to pack, what to expect when you arrive, and how to stay safe while abroad.

Once you arrive in Dublin you will participate in our onsite orientation with the other ASA students in your group. ASA’s site director will introduce you to your host city and culture through orientation and multiple events during the program. Our intentionally small group sizes allow ASA’s students to get to know one another and are an aspect of our programs for which our alumni consistently express their appreciation. You will have opportunities to meet other students and lots of new people through your classes or social events.

ASA programs include excursions, volunteer opportunities, housing, academic credits, transcripts, mobile phones, airport pick-up on arrival, medical insurance and more! Contact ASA or your advisor to learn about ASA’s Price Guarantee for all of our programs.
 COURSES
Join us in a city that combines a strong historical culture of song, story, friends and family with innovation as it holds a place in time as a European hub for multinational organizations. Study at Griffith College in the Capital City of the Emerald Isle. Griffith is a thriving teaching, learning, and research community where students and staff members collaborate to form a dynamic academic environment.

You will take 2 classes over a term of four weeks with students from around the US and the rest of the world. The course offerings include many field trips outside the classroom and allow you to experience Dublin and other cities firsthand. The courses offered are "Irish History and Culture" and "Politics and Conflict in Ireland." This is an ideal program for any student seeking liberal arts credits or specifically history, politics or conflict studies credits.
