The Office of International Programs UT Travel Course Abroad Proposal Form
Through Title IV, The University of Tampa is required to abide by the following regulations in the coming years:
Programs can only have 2 weeks of instruction at the end of the term. For Spring 2017, dates of travel will now fall within: 05/07 - 05/21.
Grades must be submitted by the start of Summer 1 term.
If proposing a Summer 1 term program, be aware students will be required to pay summer tuition and travel fees.
A UT Travel Course Abroad Proposal form is required by the faculty International Programs Committee and the Office of International Programs regardless if you have led the same course in the past. As part of your submission, please include the following items:
The UT Travel Course Proposal Abroad Form with all requisite signatures for all new and recurring travel courses. The deadline for fall and winter intersession is November 1 and the deadline for spring and summer is February 15. Please submit both a hardcopy to The Office of International Programs in Plant Hall 300 and all electronic materials on the online portal at https://ut.studioabroad.com. Directions for submitting the hard copy are included in the application materials.
The Curriculum Committee New Course form is required for all new travel courses. If the course is established in the UT Catalog but has never been a UT Travel Course, the Curriculum Committee requires the Changed Course form. If the International Programs Committee approves your travel proposal, it will then pass the Curriculum Committee course forms on to all appropriate Committees (Honors, Baccalaureate) and then to the Curriculum Committee for review. A Destination Change Memo is required for recurring travel courses that plan to change destination. Please submit the memo (see attached example) detailing the destination change when you turn in the proposal.
