Buenos Aires, Argentina - Summer Program

  YOUR ASA EXPERIENCE
You will receive individualized support from ASA’s advisors and staff throughout your program application process, while you are abroad, and when you return. You will receive a detailed pre-departure orientation guide which will help you know what to pack, what to expect when you arrive, and how to stay safe while abroad.

Once you arrive you will participate in our onsite orientation with the other ASA students in your group. ASA’s site director will introduce you to your host city and culture through orientation and multiple events during the program. Our intentionally small group sizes allow ASA’s students to get to know one another and are an aspect of our programs for which our alumni consistently express their appreciation. You will have opportunities to meet other students and lots of new people through your classes, social events and optional language partners.

ASA programs include excursions, volunteer opportunities, housing, meals, academic credits, transcripts, mobile phones, airport pick-up on arrival, medical insurance and more! Contact ASA or your advisor to learn about ASA’s Price Guarantee for all of our programs.
 COURSES
Stroll past sidewalk cafes and Tango dancers in the streets on your way to campus. Universidad de Belgrano (UB) is a major institution of higher education in Argentina and hosts a large international student population every year. You will take Spanish and elective classes with students from all over the world and share the UB campus with local Argentine students.

ASA offers two summer program options in Buenos Aires. The summer programs in Buenos Aires are for high-intermediate to advanced level Spanish students, as courses are taught in Spanish. Both programs last for 4 weeks and are eligible to receive 8 U.S. credits. First, in the Spanish Intensive program, students will take their Spanish courses for 6 hours per day, Monday-Friday. The second summer program option focuses on Latin American Studies. Students in this program will take two classes. One course will be Spanish Language and the other an elective in either: Latin American Art, Latin American Literature, Culture and Civilization in Argentina, or Culture and Civilization in Latin America. A full description of this program can be found on the ASA website through the link at the top of this page.

"ASA was very involved in the entire study abroad process. They give you more than the typical study abroad package. ASA is always available to answer questions and help you through the entire study abroad process." Ashley Grewe – University of Minnesota, Duluth
